Dr Matthias Hoener studied physics at the University of Hamburg and received his doctorate from the Technical University of Berlin. He is a patent attorney and admitted Representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for the European internal market.

The patent attorney practice of Dr Matthias Hoener covers all intellectual property matters. Dr Hoener's practice focuses in particular on patent, utility model, trademark and design law, but also on licensing matters and litigation in the field of intellectual property. His technical fields of work include the following: Semiconductor technology, superconductor technology, nanotechnology, novel materials, optics, laser technology, mechanical engineering, information technology, telecommunications and metrology.
